MA in Curating and Art History is pleased to present the curatorial project 2022–23 through the launch of three exhibitions: Else May the Silent Feet, Travellers, and Echo Past with Memory. The event will take place at the Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre (JCCAC) L1 Gallery from 29 July to 6 August. 16 renowned and award-winner local artists, including Yeung Hok Tak, So Hing Keung and Wong Chun Hei are participating in the exhibitions. Through a variety of art mediums, such as painting, installation, photography, ready-made objects, video, and more, the artists will demonstrate various explorations of the topics of local identity, travelling, migration, and moving. The creation of art evidently correlates with its time. And through exhibiting artworks and educational activities, the curatorial teams facilitate dialogue on and reinterpretations of Hong Kong’s cultural and social landscapes. In a space of interrelated visual languages and aesthetics constructed by student curatorial teams, audiences are invited to reflect on the possibilities and meanings of day-to-day life, identity, and its fluidity, embarking on a search for selfhood in a difficult time.
