The untold stories of some little-known elderly Hong Kong people.
In this city that never sleeps, there’s always something happening, tales waiting to be told. We often hear on the news what happens to important famous people, their marriages, divorces, and their lavish lifestyles. What about the stories that we don’t hear? Do we let those stories fade into the nether with whom the stories belong?
Rarely do we hear about the struggles of an old lady who goes along the streets collecting cardboard boxes to provide for herself with her two own hands. Nor do we hear about an old man who wants to rebuild a temple as it was a safe haven for him during the Second World War. The aim of this exhibition is to share some of the stories and life lessons from a few of Hong Kong’s older generations.
Why the elderly? Because they’ve lived longer, seen more, and have more life experience.
