卡爾維諾曾寫道：「人在受壓迫的時候會寫寓言。」「寓」意指寄託，以虛構故事說明哲理及諷刺時弊。故事雖然虛構，但往往藏著弦外之音，象徵作者對現實生活的不滿或愁緒，以歷史想像的方式記錄當下。當人難以自由地表達己見，便以虛寫實，以寓言呈現真實世界的稜角。《後話》將展現版畫家如何透過創作代替沉默，以細膩的情感為核心，呈現在此波瀾起伏的時代中之生存狀態。

《後話》是《預/寓言》線上展覽的延續，集合千禧年後回應社會議題的版畫藝術，作品現分兩批於畫廊展出。

Italo Calvino once wrote: “One writes fables in periods of oppression.” A fable is a short tale intended to teach moral lessons and satirise problems in the society. Although fables are fictional, they often embody the writers’ resentment and melancholy towards reality, and document the present in imaginative ways. When one cannot freely express themselves, they present allegorical portraits of the real world with fables. Afterword will show how printmakers make their voices heard with art. Their practices centre on delicate emotions during uncertain and turbulent times.

A continuation of Pressing On, Afterword gathers works made by printmakers in response to social issues after 2000. Works are now on view in two parts.
