Why Cello Quartet? Cello is a special instrument, it possesses a unique and captivating tone quality, exuding richness and resonance. With its expansive range, cellists can effortlessly navigate through various genres, seamlessly blending both main voices and accompanying harmonies.
Allow us to introduce Alex Lau, Tzu-Shao Chao, Yung-Tzu Wang, and Cheng-An Chan, four talented young cellists hailing from Hong Kong and Taiwan. Currently based in Munich, they have embarked on a collective musical journey, honing their craft under the esteemed guidance of the renowned cellist Wen-Sinn Yang. Over the years, their mutual inspiration and support have forged a deep bond, leading them to conceive the idea of presenting themselves as a cello quartet in their hometown.
The concert program will feature both original compositions and arranged pieces, specifically dedicated for cello quartet. We sincerely hope that the enchanting sound of the cello and the beautiful cello music will create an unforgettable experience for you!
